RIN-PA is a female samurai sword performance team based on the concept of “women or girls with beauty, strength and dignity“.
We perform beautiful gorgeous TATE samurai performance that is based on traditional Japanese martial arts as well as traditional dance “NIHON BUYO”.
The Japanese word “RIN (凜)” means “severe and tight”, “cold”, “severe and intense”, and “tightening of the heart”. We aim to create women who are always firm, strong, and beautiful even in severe situations.
He established his own creative performance style: Shiden-ryu, and is active not only as a performer , but also as an instructor.
He has mastered the traditional Japanese performing arts of sword fighting(TATE), iai, Nihon Buyo (traditional Japanese dance), and shishimai (lion dance), and is attempting new challenges while preserving tradition.
While performing in Japan and abroad, he is passing on to the next generation the techniques of TATE and Nihon Buyo, as well as the accompanying bushido and the spirit of harmony.
”HACHIEN JYUKU" is a sword performance school that focuses not only on the technique of sword, but also on the "beauty of the heart" that brings out the performer's charm as a human being. We teach practical sword performance techniques, as well as how to become more aware and attractive as an actor. The class is also available to non-actors for a hobby or morning activity.
We'll be teaching at the studio near "Kuramae", "Okachimachi", "Sugamo" stations etc. in Tokyo, every week on Monday or Wednesday evenings from 19:00-21:00.
